Last night they had open house--you know the drill, you go from room to room as your child would, but with a shorter class period, and the teacher gives an overview of the class.
Imagine my surprise, when I saw this on his desk in a place of honor:

Of all the things we didn't drag down from IL when we moved--he had managed to hang on to 44 billion cords that belong to who knows what, every piece of sporting equipment in the land, 76 thousand baseball hats, every receipt for every purchase made since he was able to crawl, and this cordless beauty--that belonged to my Grandpa Klier. One of the original word processers--invented right after the pencil. Sweet.
ps: his desk doesn't look this sweet, forgot my camera last night so I had to find a replica on ebay.
